To plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of the plant operations and maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utilities and grounds of the hospitals in a designated area in an operative and safe working condition. Also manages Environmental Services, Security and Biomedical Engineering functions. Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in CQI activities. Assists in budget creation. Maintains efficient and effective operations while complying with all JCAHO, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.


Education:  Minimum high school diploma or equivalent some relevant training and education required.

Licenses/Certification:   License boiler operator required.

Experience:    Minimum of five (5) years hospital experience to include three (3) years as Manager of Facilities. Prefer experience with start-up and construction of hospitals. Minimum of one Joint Commission accreditation survey in a management position. NIMS Training required or successful completion of the NIMS Training within 6 months of hire date.
